American Equestrians Got Talent Kicks Off 2025 in Spectacular Style!




Wellington, FL – February 12, 2025 – The highly anticipated American Equestrians Got Talent (AEGT) live auditions launched at Kontiki Restaurant, setting the stage for an unforgettable season of talent and energy. With an electric atmosphere, a packed audience, and jaw-dropping  performances, the opening night was nothing short of spectacular!

The star-studded judging panel featured some of the Wellington equestrian community’s own celebrities, including: Marcus Orlob, Allison Brock,  Endel OtsSarah Tubman and  Scott Durkin

Under the guidance of Master of Ceremonies, Nicho Meredith, the first live audition featured a mix of musical genres, from Disney classics to smooth jazz and pop sensations. The night saw seven remarkable competitors grace the stage, including Eric Aho, Carly Cantor, Heather Durand, Rabecca Martinez, Emma Claire Stephens,  the band Hacking Distance and J.R. Apollon.


The competition was fierce, but four vocalists truly set the stage, earning Golden Tickets and advancing directly to the Grand Finale at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club on April 12, 2025, where the ultimate champion will take home a $10,000 grand prize.

 Carly Cantor kicked off the night with a powerful rendition of “The Winner Takes It All”. This talented young singer, who finished third in last year’s AEGT Finale, left the audience spellbound. Judge Marcus Orlob wasted no time in awarding her the first Golden Ticket of the evening.

Next to go was Rabecca Martinez, who delivered an emotional and captivating performance of Journey’s Faithfully. Her powerful voice and heartfelt delivery filled the room, drawing everyone into the song's deep emotion. Judge Scott Durkin was so moved that he granted her the second Golden Ticket.

The action was not over, and  Emma’s Claire Stephens  upbeat and smooth rendition of Michael Bublé’s “Feeling Good”  filled the room. The dim lighting and smooth jazz sounds created the intimate feel of a classic jazz club. Her stellar performance earned her a Golden Ticket from judge Sarah Tubman.

Last but not least, Heather Durand – a seasoned performer - had a million reasons to shine as she closed the night with a breathtaking rendition of Lady Gaga’s Million Reasons. Her heartfelt delivery moved the audience to tears, earning a standing ovation. Judge Endel Ots sealed the moment by ringing the cowbell, granting her the final Golden Ticket of the night.

The night was a true celebration of talent, as the Wellington equestrian community put aside their horse duties to enjoy a showcase of non-equestrian activities.



What’s Next?

AEGT continues with its second live audition round in Ocala, Florida, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The excitement is far from over, as new performers step up to display their talents for a chance at the coveted Grand Finale.
